One of the things that has struck me most during this year’s election campaign, is how many different issues impact different residents in Norwalk. I’ve given some thought about how to best collect that conversation about how to make Norwalk a better place to live and have put together a survey. Please take a moment to answer some of these questions.

We all share a part of Norwalk’s future. But it’s important to work together to improve Norwalk’s quality of life.

Nothing is more important than investing in Norwalk’s infrastructure. That means investing in maintenance, too. Things like bridge repairs, road improvements, and addressing flood-prone areas are not the glamorous issues that you hear people talking about.

No one likes to pay higher taxes and fees. As a council member, I have always tried to make sure that taxpayers’ money is spent wisely along with making sure that there’s accountability for all our government expenditures. As a Council member, we don’t get a say in how our educational tax dollars are spent, but I feel it is important that educational dollars be delivered to the classroom, NOT to the boardroom.

Together we can all make a difference in our hometown, our Norwalk. I’ve always served as your voice and your ears at the council table. I will continue to work to rejuvenate the local economic community, because I see this as being vital to the health of our neighbors and our neighborhoods. I also believe in dollars and sense, and am committed to preserving our parks and recreation areas so that we can all enjoy the beauty of our city.
